Mótmælið !

Í morgun sendi ég sendiherra Litháens á Íslandi bréf, þar sem ég mótmæli. Takið vinsamlegast þátt í mótmælunum geng hinni árlegu nasistagöngu í Kaunas, sem aftur er haldin í dag. Dear Mr. Ambassador,

Today, and once again, state-enabled neo-Nazi glorification of local Holocaust collaborators is held in Kaunas. It is very sad to witness year after year that neo-Nazis and anti-democratic groups are allowed to march through Lithuanian streets, where Lithuanian's particpation in the Holocaust is practically honoured.

I have, first hand,  witnessed the sick hate of the people who find this glorification of Nazi-collaborators necessary in a EU-member state. (See: http://defendinghistory.com/take-off-your-hat-this-is-not-the-synagogue/36029). I am worried for a country I like and have visited several times.

As an Icelander, a citizen in a country, which promptly supported Lithuania's freedom, I find it impossible to accept the Nazi-glorification in Lithuania.

Dear Ambassador, please ask the government you represent to end the violation of freedom in Lithuania. Glorification of Holocaust collaborators will never be acceptable.
